Get a repeat prescription

You can request a repeat prescription:

  • online - You can use AskFirst to order your prescription, you will be directed to a partner website and will need to login using your NHS login to complete the medication request.
    Use ask first to order your prescription

  • You can also use the NHS App - please download a step-by-step guide (PDF, 920KB) or watch the video below. 

  • in person - complete the tear-off counterfoil of your prescription and return it to the surgery. Please ensure you respond to any requests on the prescription counterfoil to make an appointment to for a prescription review, before asking for the repeat prescription
  • by email – use this address and be sure to include:

    • the name of the person who needs the prescription
    • their full address
    • their date of birth
    • details of what is needed – the name of the medication, the strength, and the dose
    • details of whether you will collect the prescription from the surgery or the name of the pharmacy you want us to send it to

Please note:

  • we do not accept repeat prescription requests by phone
  • please allow 3 working days before collecting your prescription from the surgery or pharmacy

  • Makepeace & Jackson - Sanderstead
  • Boots - Whitgift Centre
  • Day Lewis - Elmfield Way Sanderstead
  • Day Lewis - High Street Selsdon
  • Croydon Pharmacy - South Croydon
  • Goldmantle - Forestdale
  • Harris - Forestdale

These pharmacies may be able to deliver to patients who are housebound. Please contact the local pharmacist for details and to confirm any costs they may charge for delivery.

Queries

Queries with regards to side effects, missing medication, stock supply, and available brands (including generic)  can be dealt with by the pharmacy. Please call them in the first instance. If the pharmacy are unable to get stock in for your medication, they should be able to give you back the scrfipt to take elsewhere

Queries with regards to side effects and alternative medication and changes to medication, can be dealt with at the practice.

Nominated Pharmacy

Nominated pharmacies can be changes via the NHS App or you can email the surgery asking for the change
